Encinitas Parks and Recreation Department’s Walk Wednesdays

Have you heard that the Encinitas Parks and Recreation Department has started a new blog series called Walk Wednesdays? You ought to check it out! They post a new favorite trail of theirs every Wednesday and share all the things you need to know before deciding where you would like to take a walk on any given day. On January 11th, they suggested the Encinitas Ranch trails. In their post, they tell you where the best access point is for the trail, how long the hike is, and why it’s one of their favorites. They say Encinitas Ranch trails is one of their favorites because of its unobstructed views east of the mountains. On January 18th, they suggested the hike from Swami’s south to the Cardiff Kook and back. The trail has wide asphalt sidewalks and round-trip is just shy of 2.5 miles. You could also walk that stretch on the beach! Swami’s beach and park are one of Encinitas’ most iconic spots and it’s easy to see why when you walk this trail. Last Wednesday, they went with Encinitas Community Park and provided us with a cool map of a 1-mile looped course around the park. The park is open from 8am to 10pm. They even keep on security lights after sunset so you can take this walk in the evenings all year-round.

Can’t wait for the new Walk Wednesday tomorrow! You’ll be able to find it here:
