Encinitas Real Estate: Rising Median Prices

Rising median prices are being seen on Encinitas real estate as well as across California and the United States. Encinitas real estate has really picked up in the last few months, despite the conditions being favorable to begin with.

In 2011 Florida saw a “dramatic draw down of inventory, which was typically accompanied by large increases in median list prices” and what happened in Florida appears to now be occurring in California.

According to the Realtor.com Real Estate Trends June 2012 report California has seen some of the sharpest year-over-year reductions of inventory as well as the largest increase in year-to-year median list prices.

When it comes to homes for sale in Encinitas, San Diego County saw a 9.1% jump for the month of June when compared to the same month one year prior, as well as a 1.7% increase in prices.

A total of 3,756 comes changed hands locally for the month of June which, when compared to the same numbers for the same month in 2011, saw a rise from 3,444. The median price for a home in Southern California was at $300,000 up from $285,000 in June 2011.
