Encinitas Realtor Marketing On Facebook

As an Encinitas Realtor I know that I offer the best services possible, but it can be hard to let other people know of that. As an Encinitas Realtor I have to take advantage of every tool that is given to me, but I have to make sure that I do it properly.

A recent article notes the importance of placing Encinitas real estate listings on Facebook, but that the key is to do this the right way, and many real estate agents are just plain doing it wrong. While there are no hard and fast rules on how to market using social media tools, here are a few Do’s and Don’ts that can be applied to real estate listings as well as other businesses:

DON’T…

Post Your Listing on Your Personal Profile Wall – The Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities states that the user will not use their personal profile for commercial gain and doing so may result in your Facebook account being shut down due to this violation. Additionally, your friends may see your posts as spam and either defriend you, hide your posts, or report you to Facebook for violating the Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.

DO…

Install and Use 3rd-Party Applications on Your Business Page – Using a third-party application on your business page like Realtor.com’s Social Connections application can not only help you stay in compliance with Facebook’s terms and conditions but also, since it links directly to the MLS, all of your updating will be done quickly and easily. Your Facebook fans and friends will be able to see your listings easily without feeling like they are having them shoved down their throats and lashing back in some way.

There are many more tips available to help you list homes, and this is just a brief summation of some key ideas. For more information and tips keep checking back on my Encinitas Realtor blog.
