Encinitas Viewpoints for Fantastic Ocean Viewing!

If you’re familiar with Encinitas or if you’re one of the lucky people who own an Encinitas home, you already know by now how popular the beaches are in this town! There’s surfing, body surfing, wakeboarding, swimming, and just sunbathing on the sandy shores. No matter what, there’s always something fun to do at Moonlight Beach and all the other beaches in Encinitas.

However, there are a few hidden viewpoints in Encinitas I’d like to take time talking about today. These viewpoints are near the popular beaches in Encinitas, yet they do not have any access to the beach itself. Each one has a little bit of a park area, though don’t confuse them with the Encinitas parks that I blogged about yesterday.  That being said, these viewpoints certainly offer breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and definitely need to be experienced if you have a home in Encinitas or if you’re planning your Encinitas vacation.

Please keep in mind that there are no dogs, glass containers, or alcohol permitted at ANY of the viewpoints, and none of them have any restrooms available.

I Street Viewpoint: 498 I Street, Encinitas

The I Street Viewpoint has a sidewalk and fenced off area that you can walk along as you take in a great view of the Ocean. Great for long walks after a nice dinner at one of the many restaurants in Encinitas, or a perfect place to take the kids on an afternoon walk. There are picnic benches too, so maybe meet that special someone here for an Oceanside lunch one of these days!

H Street Viewpoint: 498 H Street, Encinitas

A peaceful outdoor sanctuary, H Street Viewpoint shows you the Pacific…and nothing else. This viewpoint is perfect for bringing a novel that you’ve been meaning to crack open, or bring the MP3 player and just sit back and relax. Maybe even do some Yoga to the sounds of the ocean waves. This peaceful viewpoint is nothing special, but it might just be the soothing escape you need!

J Street ViewpointL 398 J Street, Encinitas

The J Street Viewpoint is a nice little park area with a great view of the Pacific Ocean. Be sure not to bring any dogs as police have been known to strictly enforce that rule at this park.
