Enroll in the O’Side Turkey Trot this Thanksgiving

Now that Halloween has passed, it’s time to start planning for Thanksgiving in Encinitas which is only three weeks away now! Thanksgiving is a time to take time and remember what you’re thankful for and what you may be taking for granted that you just can’t imagine yourself without. Whether it be a good family, wonderful friends, a home in Encinitas, or good health, everyone has something to be thankful for this year. Thanksgiving is also a time to give back, as you’ll see several food drives and people passing out turkeys to needy families in San Diego within the next few weeks. This Thanksgiving, there’s a way to give back and give thanks to your own health in Oceanside, California.

The O’Side Turkey Trot will be held Thanksgiving Morning in Oceanside on Thursday November 25, 2010 and proceeds will benefit Oceanside schools, the Move Your Feet Before You Eat Foundation, and Virginia Ann Scheunemann Memorial Fund. The goal of this the Fifth Annual O’Side Turkey Trot is to promote healthier lifestyles and to rid the problem of obesity. It’s a 5 mile run or walk, an open 5 kilometer run/walk, a locals only 5K run/walk, and then races for kids in 4 seperate age groups.
