See Oklahoma! at the Moonlight Amphitheatre in Vista

Most people that find themselves bored or short of ideas for an evening activity will go to the movie theater or rent a movie to view in their Encinitas house. In the past, drive in movie theaters were popular and gave people the option of spending an evening outdoors all the while enjoying a movie. Today, such movie theaters are a rarity, which leaves many people staying indoors for their evening entertainment needs. However, it is still possible to get the best of both worlds—the outdoors and a great show—at the Moonlight Amphitheatre!

The Moonlight Amphitheatre is an outdoor venue in Vista and is the ultimate place for viewing a play or concert in the summertime. It is the home location of the Moonlight Stage Productions’ many shows, including the musical Oklahoma!.

Oklahoma! was written by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II and debuted on Broadway in 1943. It is a play about early 1900’s romance in the plains of Oklahoma and has won plenty of awards, inspired a movie, and has since become quite popular. It has been showing at the Moonlight Amphitheatre since July 14th and there are only a few days left! Make sure to skip watching a movie in your Encinitas home and instead drive to Vista either this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday to catch Oklahoma! at the Moonlight Amphitheatre.
