What’s Going on in Encinitas This Weekend?

There is a lot going on in Encinitas this weekend and I am here to give you the lowdown on a few events you might want to check out.

Music by the Sea Concert

The 5th season of the Music by the Sea concert series starts this Friday night. The Encore Saxophone Quartet will be playing at 7:30 p.m. at the Encinitas Library. Tickets are 14 dollars and can be bought here. For more information on the rest of the 2016-2017 season, check out this article:

Wavecrest Meet

This Saturday September 17th is the annual largest gathering of vintage woodie cars. The cars and their owners will start gathering at 8 a.m. It is predicted that there will be around 300 woodies of various shapes, sizes, and descriptions. There will be Hawaiian and surf music performed live throughout the event. Get more information here:

2016 Summer Slam at La Paloma Theater

This Saturday night the Full Moon Poets and the 101 Artists’ Colony/Arts Alive Foundation have teamed up to bring us the 2016 Summer Poetry Slam. The event is completely free and anyone is welcome to enter. The “poet’s call” starts at 6 p.m. where anyone can put their names in a bucket and the first 17 drawn will be a part of the lineup.
