In the German tradition of Oktoberfest, there are several area festivals taking place this year including the 37th annual celebration in La Mesa and the 39th annual celebration in El Cajon. Each festival runs all weekend and features the best of German beers and edible ethnic delights, not to mention the bands, dances and traditional costumes associated with this annual tradition.
