According to Zillow, San Diego ranks 12th in the nation for best cities to trick or treat in. The topping the list at the number one rank went to Northern California peers San Francisco. Four of the top 20 cities to trick-or-treat in were in California.

The uptown neighborhood of Kensington was labeled as number one community to fish for sweets. Following the leader of San Diego for the best areas to trick or treat in was Carmel Mountain (no pun intended), Loma Portal, Del Mar Heights and Mission Hills respectively according to Zillow’s data.

Zillow collects data (Trick-or-Treat Index) based on four different statistics – Home Value Index, population, Walk Score (a website that measures your neighborhood’s walkability) and local crime data from Relocation Essentials according to Zillow.com.

With this data in order, the Trick-or-Treat Index indicates the cities that will give the most candy and the fewest risks with safety.

According to NBCSanDiego.com, Zillow jumped three spots ahead from last year when they were at 15th. Take your children to one of the foresaid neighborhoods above not only for their safety, but so their Halloween is in fact happy.
