Activities in Encinitas 2/21/12

Encinitas is a beautiful city filled with beaches, shopping and culture, but there is so much more than even just that that makes Encinitas a wonderful community to live in. As a resident of the city of Encinitas there are many ways to get involved with the city’s management, events occurring in the area, as well as opportunities to learn more about your profession.

On Tuesday, February 21st, the city of Encinitas is holding multiple events that will allow you to get more involved with your community or just learn something new. One of those events is the monthly Senior Citizens Commission meeting, which will allow members of the community to speak on issues they feel need to be addressed. That meeting will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at 505 S. Vulcan Avenue. At 5:00pm the monthly Parks and Recreation Commission meeting will be held from 5:00pm to 7:oopm at the same location as the Senior Citizens Commission meeting. If you are not interested in getting involved with the city’s committees, then the third in a series of four workshops on Landscape Water Management will be held from 5:00pm to 7:30pm free of charge. While you must attend all four workshops in order to receive a certification, attendance to expand your own personal knowledge may be beneficial. This event will be held at the City of Encinitas Community Center located at 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive.

As a resident of Encinitas herself, Encinitas Realtor Linda Moore knows how important it is to feel a part of one’s own community and these are just a few of the possibilities available to all.
