Encinitas Community Park
The Encinitas Community Park project is moving forward, another reason to buy an Encinitas home from an Encinitas Realtor. The first phase of Encinitas Community Park includes a skate park, soccer fields, baseball and softball fields, as well as a dog park. Eventually the park will eventually include a children’s play area and aquatic center among other things.
Currently the city is accepting bids for phase one of the project, and base bids are currently coming in higher than expected. The base bids are essentially a package that contains the grading and basic infrastructure of the park, which includes items like gas main removal, earthwork and putting in sports fields. Base bids were initially expected to come in around $10.9 million, but among the five contracting firms that submitted base bids the amounts came in no lower than$13.8 million and no higher than $15.2 million.
