Preparedness Fair in Oceanside, CA

Though I primarily operate as an Encinitas Realtor, I help residents throughout cities and towns in San Diego buy and sell homes. As an Encinitas Realtor I try to stay up to date on events occurring not just in Encinitas but in all of San Diego County.

A fun and informative event will be held in Oceanside Saturday June 30th. The Be Ready, Inc. Disaster Preparedness business is hosting the “Preparedness Fair” aka the “Prepper’s Fair.” The goal is to help any residents of the Greater San Diego area be prepared for emergencies and natural disasters.

Some of the topics that will be focused on at the fair range from:

  • Water Storage and Purification
  • Silent Generators that Are Solar Powered
  • Cooking Meals Using the Power of the Sun
  • Communications Demonstrations
  • And More

Vendors of the best emergency goods and supplies will be on hand to demonstrate how their products are used. There will also be a seminar by the Orange County section manager for the American Relay League, Carl Gardenias. During the presentation he will discuss the importance of using “Ham Radio” communications to contact family, friends, and loved ones as well as getting important information and alerts from the community and government leaders when the power is out for an extended period of time.

This will be an informative event for everyone in attendance, so make sure you attend the Preparedness Fair.
