Picnic at the San Diego Botanic Garden this Weekend

I was reminded of just how fast time flies while at the grocery store today. I noticed a huge sign that read “back to school supplies”. Well, if I did not live in Encinitas I may just be a little sad that August is nearly here. However, people living in Encinitas homes have nothing to worry about. We get to enjoy the sun year round! Schoolchildren, on the other hand, have no choice but to say good bye to lazy summer days and say hello to books and homework. Regardless of the beautiful year round weather we enjoy, the summertime is still a special season and should be enjoyed to its fullest. Now is the time to harness every possible moment and do as much as you possibly can before it is over!

If you are unsure of what to do this upcoming weekend, here is an idea. Pack a lunch, head out of your Encinitas home, and head to the San Diego Botanic Garden to attend a family picnic in an extremely surreal and gorgeous location. It begins at 12:30 and is followed with a guided and informative tour of the garden! The San Diego Botanic Garden is home to an extremely large bamboo collection, tropical landscapes, flowering trees, and gorgeous ancient cycads! Make sure to bring your own lunch, however, drinks will be provided!
