Cardiff Local Choreographs Olympic Ceremonies

One of the best parts about being an Encinitas Realtor for over 20 years is the sense of community that resides here. As an Encinitas Realtor I have seen many extraordinarily talented individuals come from San Diego County and make headlines for their exceptional abilities.

One such talented individual is Bob Haro of Cardiff, dubbed the “Father of Freestyle BMX.” Not only is Mr. Haro one of the pioneers of BMX biking but he has founded the first freestyle biking company (Haro Bikes), created Haro Design Group which is an agency that caters to action sports, and most famously his stunt driving skills helped to create one of the most memorable scenes in modern cinema, the bike chase in E.T. the Extraterrestrial.

Haro was recruited to create and choreograph a unique bicycle demonstration during the opening ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics in London. While Haro didn’t want to ruin the surprise of the presentation, titled Isles of Wonder, he did mention that it has something to do with Doves. You can catch the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremonies tonight from 7:30pm until 12:00am on the NBC network.
