Homebuilder Confidence Highest Gains in Decade

As an Encinitas real estate agent I strive to keep my clients informed on how the current state of the housing market affects them. It makes me happy to report this latest Encinitas real estate agent news; home builder confidence saw its largest increase in a decade in the month of July.

The National Association of Home Builders released its Housing Market Index, compiled in tandem with Wells Fargo, which showed the Home Price Index reaching its highest point since March, 2007.

The Housing Market Index, which evaluates the perception of builders regarding single-family homes for sale, gained six points in July seeing the rating reach 35. This six-point increase is the highest one-month gain in almost a decade.

Other indices included in the study are the index measuring sales expectations for the next six months (which rose 11 points to reach a score of 44) and prospective home buyer traffic (seeing an increase of 6 points to reach a score of 29). Any number above 50 suggests that the majority of builders view conditions to be labeled “Good.”

These findings saw that builder confidence increased in EVERY region of the country, including homes for sale in Encinitas. The market keeps suggesting that now is the perfect time to buy Encinitas homes for sale, so contact a skilled Encinitas Realtor to help you find the home that is right for you.
