How To Spend Your Weekend in Encinitas January 2013

It’s shaping up to be another beautiful weekend in Encinitas with plenty of activities for you and your friends and family to participate in. Here are some of the things you can do in the San Diego area.

Friday, January 11

The Carlsbad Village Yoga and Fitness Community Center will be having a free class followed by a Potluck dinner. The event will go from 6 to 8pm and is located at 2801 Roosevelt Street, Suite B in Carlsbad.

The San Dieguito Academy will be presenting a version of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with “an 80s twist to the classic story.” The presentation starts at 7pm with tickets only costing $8. The academy is located at 800 Santa Fe Drive right here in Encinitas.

Saturday, January 12

At several salons throughout the San Diego area Disney on Ice and Wigs for Kids will be holding a hair donation to benefit children that are experiencing hair loss due to medical procedures and illness. The first 15 donors at each location will get two tickets to Disney On Ice’s presentation of Dare to Dream and a Rapunzel necklace. Further information on this event can be found here.

The Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad will be hosting a performance by the David Borgo Quartet to coincide with its The Sound of Sax exhibition. The concert starts at 7pm with tickets going for $15 for museum members and $20 for general admission. The Museum of Making Music is located at 5790 Armada Drive.

Sunday, January 13

The Drake Center for Veterinary Care will be holding a free event that will allow kids to see what it is like to work at a veterinary hospital. The event goes from 3pm to 4pm and is at 195 N El Camino Real in Encinitas.

Additionally Push House will be holding a free Pilates class at their location starting at 7:30am. Push House is located at 191 N El Camino Real, Suite 212 in Encinitas.
