Walking Encinitas Restaurant Tour This Saturday

Any plans yet for the weekend? If you are still unsure then I have a recommendation for you and a brilliant one at that, if I can say so myself. This Saturday, September 10th, there will be a walking restaurant tour of Encinitas put on by the Bite of San Diego. It is actually a reoccurring tour so if you miss it this Saturday then you can just go next week!

Your guide takes you on a mile and a half route along the historic Highway 101, the El Camino Real. You will stop at five restaurants and taste the most delicious cuisine that Encinitas has to offer. Also, during the trek you will have the opportunity to wander through the Self-Realization Fellowship Meditation Gardens and explore the well-known Encinitas boathouses: the SS Encinitas and the SS Moonlight.

During the three-and-a-half-hour tour you will learn the vital part that our dear city of Encinitas plays in the surrounding area and “how the railroad transformed this historic coastal town from farm-land to a surf & food mecca.” The way the Bite of San Diego describes our city makes me feel fiercely proud.

Here are the restaurants that the tour stops at:

  • EVE Encinitas
  • Savory Spice Shop Encinitas
  • St. Tropez Bistro & Beyond
  • Potato Shack Café
  • Lobster West Encinitas

Tickets cost $47 dollars and tour sizes are limited to 12 people. Go grab some tickets now, whether for this Saturday or later in the month. Who knows how fast these get snatched up?
